Awesome gadget for babies

Few products impress me like thie little booger snatcher did. My family just went through Covid-19 and unfortunately my 3 month old baby got infected too. Her worst symptom was the congestion. And the hospital bulb was Not cutting it. It was not pulling anything out and the baby hated it. She wouldn't sit still enough for me to yank anything out. But this tool is awesome. I don't play the music anymore because she hears the song and starts crying. She definitely doesn't like this tool either but who would. The difference though in what this does and the hand bulb is worth every penny. A few suggestions is go in on level 3. Once the tip is inside move it around in cicular motions and you will hear when the booger snags. It sounds like a gurgle. And when it's time to pull it out, pull it out slowly. If you go in there and pull it out too fast you won't get anything but an upset baby. So make the time count while you are in the so you don't have to keep going back in. Moving it around is vital. My baby hates it and will try thrashing her head around but I just remind myself she isn't being hurt and it's going to be so much better for her once her nasal is clear. She has gotten use to it a bit more now and doesn't always cry. I couldn't believe the mess that came from her nose. It was unbelievable. I am telling you this is everything it's meant to be. Its amazing and a Must Have for new moms.

Works on adults too

I am an adult with a pierced septum, and I usually sleep on my belly/side, face turned one way or the other. This causes my sinuses to not drain properly when I sleep, and during allergy/dust season, I usually wake up in the morning unable to breathe through one nostril or the other. I’ve tried manual bulb syringes to clear my nose and they’re incredibly painful to use with my nose jewelry. This snot suction device has really nice soft silicone tips, and is comfortable to use, even with a septum piercing without removing my jewelry (I wear a circular barbell custom bent to fit my nose; ‘horse shoe ring’. I haven’t taken it out once in ten years), and in combination with saline nasal spray, I can quickly clear out my non-functioning nostril in the morning. Comfortably, I must add, as a person much older than an infant who can speak coherent English to describe my experience. The lights and music are cute too, even though I’m not a small child. Overall, great product.Edited to add: A tiny bristly nipple brush, such as a Dr. Brown’s nipple brush, (what I use), makes cleaning easier. And, it also seems like cleaning is easier when the snot suction device is used in conjunction with saline nasal spray (mucous thinner and easier to wash away). While I was camping this week, in a pretty dry dusty area, this snot suction device, with its super soft comfy silicone tips, and saline nasal spray were my best friends when I got up every morning. Even with potable water shut off (due to covid precautions) and somewhat limited water that I brought to clean dishes and hands and snot removal devices, I was able to clean the cleanable parts with very little water. All it took was a slow dribble of water to get everything clean. I do recommend cleaning right away after use for ease of cleaning; no dried crustified gunk to try to scrub away. Also, once you’ve taken it apart and put it back together once or twice, it becomes like riding a bike in terms of disassembly and reassembly. Great product.Edited again to add: If you are greater than two years old, definitely use the >2years tip. Much easier to target your gooey nose spots. Also, the attachments meant for tiny babies don’t work well for adults; they pop off when you try to manipulate the exact location of suction in your nose.Still an awesome product; still great for adults with pierced noses, but if you’re over two years old, use the tip intended for those who are greater than two years old. Also, it turns out, gel nasal moisturizer and/or gel nasal spray is way nicer to use with this than the thin liquid kind of saline nasal spray.

Great Nasal Aspirator!

This is a great nasal aspirator! My three-year-old is special needs and can not blow his nose so we still need an aspirator for him. I have had other battery-operated ones and they did not have enough suction so I was hesitant to try another non-rechargeable but it has really great reviews. I am glad I did because with the three levels of power it has great suction. Not only that but it plays music and lights up which he thought was really fun and let us use it on him without a huge fight like normal. It has multi-level protection to prevent backflow into the device which is great (the last one I had did not have that and we would get stuff in it all the time) and it makes cleaning easier. It also comes with a case to make it easy to take on the go and keep everything together. I highly recommend giving this product a try.

As good as Nose Frieda, without worrying about sucking in germs

My baby has had a rough cold and flu season. Using the manual snot suckers are a challenge, and I can't shake the feeling I am sucking in her germs.I found this online and decided to give it a try! So easy to use - the lights and music seem to distract her, but she is still squirmy and doesn't enjoy it. HOWEVER, this is way easier to use than what I have been using before. A few squirts of saline spray and a push of a button are all it takes. I can spend my efforts making sure the aspirator stays in, rather than holding the Nose Frieda in my hand, a hose in my mouth, while trying to wrangle a baby. This is relatively easy to clean. The nose piece comes apart (took a while to figure it out) into three pieces (4 if you include the rubber part). Works great and is a great alternative to Nose Frieda and a bulb aspirator.

MUST HAVE ITEM!!

Okay, I don't write many reviews, but this one deserves it. My baby just turned 17 months old when I ordered this item for a terrible cold that she had for a week, and it's actually upsetting that I haven't had this for the previous 16 months, lol! I had been using the nose frida bc it worked well, but omg, it made my daughter hysterical when I'd use it, and it always meant that I was 100% going to get sick as I was inhaling all of her germs! My husband actually recommended getting one of these, bc in his words, "there's no reason you should throw yourself under the bus every time she's sick".....I just thought that's what us moms do in these circumstances, lol, so I am utterly shocked and AMAZED at how well this works!! Not only does it work well, but the lights and the little song that it plays immediately grabs my daughter's attention and she lets me aspirate her nose without a full-on WWE wrestling match! This will be one of the few "MUST HAVES" that gets added to my list of things that every first-time parent should have!
