Did a lot of research before buying a swig. This really is the best swing out there for the value. It is kind of big but we found a good spot for it even in our small condo and it looks a lot less corny than most so it's not a bad addition to our home. Baby loves to look at the mobile (which is stationary). Favorite feature though is the 5 point harness. Makes it so easy to get baby in and out without waking her up or making her mad. Other swings require you to bend baby's arms to pull them through arm straps. It's also super easy to adjust the incline and it reclines further back than most. 35 degrees or so. Cons: the vibration is very loud but still seems to soothe baby. Also it makes a knocking noise sometimes but usually goes away when you change the speed. Much cheaper to buy here than most stores.
I have gotten tons of my registry items from so I have had to assemble many things the last week... this was hands down the easiest to assemble which is insane because it had more separate piceces then most items I have bought. The seat is so soft and sturdy. It got me so excited for my baby to use it!
After doing research I found that this swing was highly recommended. It didn't cost me $260 like some of the new ones. You can also remove it and carry the baby around the house with you, I love this feature. It has many options. Don't be sold by all these new high tech swings that willost likely break. I compared this to the momaroo which would cost $219 and that price didn't even have the infant insert which was another $30. I'm very happy with this purchase.
This swing worked on and off for the first few months of my baby's life. He would sit in it for about 10-15 mins and then cry to be picked up. Now at 6 months he seems to like it better and is sitting in the swing as I write this review and letting me write it too! He can fall asleep in it too when I am really lucky. This swing has all the features I was looking for - 2 position recline, 2 orientation swing, connect to power supply, vibrating seat. It is a little noisy when swinging, but maybe that white noise keeps him calm. When you don't know what your baby is going to like its good to have all the options available for you to try out. You never know what sticks and when
We got the FisherPrice Snuggapuppy first and it was really difficult to assemble that we returned. This easily assembles and disassemble so you can take it with you. We have had it for three months and it still works perfectly. Problem with all these swings is that babies grow out of them pretty quickly.
